Boys’ basketball: Keith Fisher of Westchester is City Section player of the year
It was the year of the guards in Southern California high school basketball, but the best player in the City Section was a big man.
Keith Fisher, the 6-foot-7 senior from Westchester, has been selected the City Section player of the year.
He averaged 19.8 points and 11.1 rebounds in helping the Comets win the Open Division championship. Fisher injured his knee during the state playoffs and will undergo surgery next month. He has signed with San Jose State.
