Boys’ basketball: Joel Finney will be in the spotlight at City Section Division V final
The City Section’s leading scorer in basketball this season has been 6-foot-1 senior guard Joel Finney of Central City, averaging 32.5.
He’ll be in the spotlight on Wednesday night when Central City (25-4) faces Middle College (17-8) for the Division V championship at 7 p.m. at North Hollywood High School.
Among Finnney’s games this season: 53 points vs. Sun Valley; 43 vs. Venice; 41 vs. Annenberg and 39 vs. Hawthorne.
