Boys’ basketball: Compton to retire jersey of DeMar DeRozan

Former Compton standout DeMar DeRozan is returning to his alma mater on Thursday night to have his jersey retired.
The ceremony will occur at halftime of the Compton-Long Beach Cabrillo game that is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
DeRozan went on to play for USC and the Toronto Raptors.
