Boys’ basketball: Buckley opens season in its own tournament
Sherman Oaks Buckley was 27-0 during the regular season last season, so beware of the Griffins when they open their season on Monday at 3:30 p.m. against Ribet in their own tournament.
Buckley returns its outstanding guard, Austin Butler, and will unveil two talented freshmen in Mike Meadows and Kihei Clark.
The team spent Saturday serving lunch at the HOPE of the Valley Rescue Mission. Players also donated clothing.
