Boys’ basketball: Taft wins its seventh consecutive game

Woodland Hills Taft took a quick trip to Las Vegas on Saturday and came away with a 59-54 victory over Las Vegas Centennial for its seventh consecutive victory.
Keasean Davis, a transfer from Price who became eligible earlier this month, led Taft (19-4) with 17 points. Taft faces host Birmingham on Wednesday in a game for first place in the West Valley League.
At Azusa Pacific, Walnut defeated Colony, 64-52. Dwight Ramos had 25 points.
San Dimas defeated Flintridge Prep, 56-43. Ronny Rafeh led San Dimas with 16 points. Dante Fregoso had 15 points for Flintridge Prep.
Etiwanda defeated Alta Loma, 61-28. Kystian Wilson led Etiwanda with 14 points.
Los Altos (19-1) won its 11th consecutive game with a 65-61 win over Glendora. Jarod Lucas had 22 points and Jared Brown 17.
La Canada defeated Oak Park, 66-45. St. John Bosco defeated Bonita, 63-61. JJ Watson had 33 points for the Braves. Joe Quintana had 25 points for Bonita.
Damien rallied for a 73-57 win over Riverside King. Bryce Peters scored 18 points and Liam Ryan had 14 points and eight rebounds.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart lost to Wasatch Academy, 72-59, despite 22 points from Jacob Davison.
In a Gold Coast League game, Jordan Cohen of Campbell Hall scored 32 points but the Vikings were beaten by Crossroads, 69-58.
