Boys’ basketball: Spencer Freedman makes five threes for Mater Dei

Sophomore Spencer Freedman make five threes en route to a 17-point performance to help Santa Ana Mater Dei improve to 7-0 with a 69-41 win over Sonora in the North Orange County tournament on Monday.
MJ Cage added 14 points.
Servite defeated Diamond Bar, 81-53. Anastasios Marcopulos made five threes and finished with 18 points. Cameron Griffin, Jacob Hughes and Pearson Parker added 17 points apiece.
In a Coliseum League opener, Dorsey defeated Hawkins, 72-45. Lafayette Dorsey had 19 points and Tommie Groce 16.
Flintridge Prep (5-0) defeated Salesian, 58-46. Dante Fregoso scored 20 points and Andrew Tsangeos added 18 points.
