Baseball: USA 18U team advances to gold medal game

The USA 18U team has earned a spot in the gold medal game in the WBSC 18U World Cup in Japan after a 6-5 victory over Cuba.
Reggie Lawson from Victor Valley High threw four shutout innings of relief, striking out four. Kevin Gowdy from Santa Barbara had two scoreless innings of relief. Blake Rutherford from Chaminade drove in two runs.
USA will play Japan on Sunday for a gold medal.
