Baseball: La Verne Lutheran is 9-0 behind pitcher Lane Henderson
In Southern Section Division 6, La Verne Lutheran (9-0) is looking very strong after the opening month of the season behind 6-foot-5 senior pitcher Lane Henderson, who’s 4-0 with 58 strikeouts in 24 innings.
Henderson is set to sign a letter of intent next month with William Jessup University, an NAIA school in Northern California starting up a baseball program for the first time.
Also signing on April 15 is teammate James Ward, a shortstop who becomes eligible on April 7 after transferring from Bonita. He’s signing with Midland University, an NAIA school in Nebraska.
