Baseball: Kennedy defeats Sylmar, 7-3

Estevan Rodriguez is the reigning Valley Mission League player of the year, and the Kennedy High senior showed it on Monday, getting three hits and two RBI in the Golden Cougars’ 7-3 win over Sylmar.
Alejandro Vasquez added two hits.
Gilbert Hernandez struck out eight and walked seven in a complete-game performance.
