Baseball: Freedom day is Monday for spring transfer students
- Share via
Monday is a big day for spring athletes who transferred without moving and had to sit out the opening month of their season.
Baseball, softball, tennis and volleyball athletes will become eligible immediately.
Among the players becoming eligible is catcher David Clawson of Dana Hills. He was the starting catcher last season for Santa Ana Mater Dei. He’s a junior.
Chatsworth’s offense could get a lift from Simi Valley transfer Adrian Acosta, a junior third baseman.
“He swung the bat well in the fall,” Coach Tom Meusborn said.
Acosta’s cousin, Anthony, will become eligible at Chaminade.
