Roybal (18-0) is last unbeaten boys’ basketball team in Southern California

There’s only one high school boys’ basketball team left in Southern California that has not lost any games this season _ unbeaten Los Angels Roybal.
The Titans are 18-0 and playing Sun Valley Poly on Thursday night for the City Section Division III championship at 8 p.m. at Granada Hills.
Second-year coach Danny O’Fallon has relied on seniors. The Titans earned the No. 4 seed because their schedule was not as strong as No. 1-seeded Poly, but a 42-41 win in the semifinals over South East is a hint the Titans should not be taken lightly.
Point guard David Rauda is averaging nearly 17 points a game. Another senior guard, Jonathan Sirratt, is averaging 15 points. Roybal has never won a City basketball title.
Poly is 17-9 and finished third in the East Valley League. The Parrots’ last title was in 1999 when they won the City Invitational championship.
Quadre Johnson, a 6-foot-1 junior, is averaging 18 points and 8.6 rebounds.
