Ducks’ Rakell out of lineup until work visa is finalized

Ducks forward Rickard Rakell is expected to finalize his work visa next week, his agent, Peter Wallen, said Friday.
Rakell is awaiting the paperwork to be completed in his home country of Sweden so he can return to Anaheim. He signed a six-year contract extension worth $22.8 million on Oct.14 to resolve a free agency standoff that lasted more than three months.
There is no timetable for his first game back with the Ducks but he has been skating, Wallen said. The Ducks were off Friday.
Weise suspended
Philadelphia Flyers forward Dale Weise was suspended three games for an illegal hit to the head of Ducks defenseman Korbinian Holzer on Thursday. Holzer suffered a facial injury on the play but later set up the game-winning goal. It is Weise’s second suspension for an illegal hit.
