Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving Saturday morning in Florida after his Mercedes-Benz was clocked traveling 110 mph in a 70-mph zone, police said.

The arrest came less than two months after Puig had speeding-related charges dropped in Tennessee.

Puig, who makes his off-season home in Miami, was driving westbound on Interstate 75 between Naples and Fort Lauderdale when he was pulled over, said Lt. Greg Bueno of the Florida Highway Patrol. Puig was handcuffed and taken to Collier County jail, Bueno said. Officers on the scene described Puig as cooperative in their report.

The Dodgers withheld comment, as a team spokesman said they were still gathering facts on the incident.

Dodgers officials have warned Puig on multiple occasions about his driving, especially after he was arrested in April while playing for the Dodgers’ double-A affiliate in Chattanooga, Tenn. Puig, who allegedly was driving 97 mph in a 50-mph zone, was charged with speeding, reckless driving and driving without proof of insurance. The charges were dismissed last month, in large part because of community service he performed in Los Angeles.

Mitchell Whitmore won the men’s 500 meters at the U.S. Olympic speedskating trials at Kearns, Utah, but more of the drama centered on the fourth spot on the team. Two-time Olympic gold medalist Shani Davis claimed the last berth, but only after Jonathan Garcia was disqualified for failing to wear a timing transponder on his ankles while skating a personal-best time that would’ve earned him a trip to Sochi. U.S. Speedskating officials granted Garcia a re-skate about a half hour later, after everyone else was done, but he didn’t come close to matching his previous time. That gave the fourth spot to Davis, who finished behind Whitmore, Tucker Fredricks and Brian Hansen. “It’s really unfortunate,†said Davis. “I remember the special feeling I had when I went [to the Olympics] the first time. I was really pulling for Garcia to pull through and take the spot, even if it knocked me off the team.
