Nothing can stop Hanley Ramirez’s roll right now. Not even a stop sign.

Ramirez didn’t even hesitate when he saw third base coach Tim Wallach throw his hands up after A.J. Ellis’ line drive single to right field and slid into home for the winning run in the ninth.

The run capped off a 3-for-4 night for the shortstop, who drove in three of the team’s four runs.

“I was ready to score,†Ramirez said. “I took a good lead at second and it paid off.â€

The move put a jolt in the sellout crowd of 52,455. Ramirez also continued his hitting streak in the first inning with a 439-foot, three-run bomb to center field that hit off the television set in straightaway center field.

Since the streak started, Ramirez is hitting .500 with five home runs and 14 RBIs and even has a higher slugging percentage (.732) than Yasiel Puig (.677).

Earlier in the week, Dodgers manager compared Ramirez’s recent form to that of Manny Ramirez. But now, everything looks like Hanley-Wood.

“He’s tremendous right now,†Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. “He can flat out hit.â€

He can also steal bases and make game-changing defensive plays at shortstop, both evident Saturday night in helping the Dodgers to their seventh win in their last games.

“It’s fun when you put your team in the best position to win,†Ramirez said.

And the Dodgers within five games of first place.
