Dodgers announce minor league coaching staffs
All six of the Dodgers’ minor league managers will return for the upcoming season, the organization announced Monday.
Former major league catcher Damon Berryhill will manage the organization’s triple-A affiliate, which will now be based in Oklahoma City. Last season, the Dodgers’ triple-A team was in Albuquerque, N.M.
Rookie-league managers John Shoemaker and Jack McDowell will switch assignments. Shoemaker, who was in charge of the Arizona League team, will move to the advanced-rookie Ogden. McDowell will take over the Arizona League team.
Damon Mashore, who was previously the organization’s outfield and baserunning coordinator, will be the new minor league hitting coordinator. Mashore will replace Eric Owens, who was hired as the assistant hitting coach of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Rick Knapp will return for his third season as the pitching coordinator.
Clayton McCullough, who spent the eight previous seasons in the Toronto Blue Jays organization, will be the new field coordinator.
