Surrounded by loving family and friends, longtime Newport Beach resident Calvin Siegle passed away at the age of 94 in his home on October 15. Cal began his career as a junior executive with the legendary Cincinnati sporting goods firm of MacGregor-Goldsmith during the depth of the Great Depression, and retired from MacGregor as a top executive after 51 years of exemplary service. Ever a selfless patriot, he twice left this prospering career to defend the nation as an Air Force officer in World War II and the Korean War. Cal was preceded in death by his beloved wife Anne, and is survived by his son Clive, daughter Candace, and a legion of cherished friends. Services will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park on Wednesday, October 20, at 2:30 PM. Those desiring to formally memorialize this remarkable man may do so with a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association of Orange County in lieu of flowers.
