VolleyballNOW.net and Lance Stewart will host the first VolleyballNOW.net Attack Camp Saturday at Laguna Beach High. The two-day camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Instruction includes working on different types of sets and tempos including serving, high repetition for all hitters, strength and conditioning and covers the mental aspects of becoming a better attacker. Stewart, head coach of the Laguna Beach boys’ and girls’ volleyball programs, has trained attackers who have gone on to play at such schools as UC Irvine, USC, Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State and Ohio State. Cardio Tennis sessions start Monday
The next Cardio Tennis workout sessions (18 and older) begin Monday at Alta Laguna Park in Laguna Beach. Sessions are on from 9 to 9:50 a.m. and 7 to 7:50 p.m. each Monday through Aug. 15. Wednesday workout sessions (9-9:50 a.m., 7-7:50 p.m.) start July 27 and run through Aug. 17. The cost is $66. Junior tennis workouts begin next week
All Court Tennis is registering summer tennis workouts for Junior tournament players to work on advanced technique, fitness and conditioning, mental toughness and match strategy. Workouts begin Monday and Tuesday and are open to Junior rookies and intermediate-level players (8-9:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 26-Aug. 18, $252); tournament training for advanced-level players (5-6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, July 25-Aug. 17, $221); 4-W tournament training for advanced players (5-6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, July 25-Aug. 17, $221), and Junior Team Prep Academy for players starting out in team or United States Tennis Assn. satellite competition (5:30-6:20 p.m. Tuesdays, July 26-Aug. 16, $88).

Tennis and swim camp now open
The Champions for Life Tennis and Swim Camp is underway through Aug. 15 at Alta Laguna Park in Laguna Beach. The camp is open to youth ages 5 to 13 and runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and includes tennis lessons, activities and lunch and a trip to the Laguna Beach High pool to close the camp. The cost I $230. United States Professional Tennis Assn. teaching pro Julie Heussenstamm is camp director.
