FULLERTON — Kallie Ryker had a goal and an assist to pace the visiting Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference contest Friday.
Kayla Albin and Brooke Springer each had goals for OCC (9-4-2, 8-2-1 in conference). Nicole Vanderlaan and Emily Mizrahi had assists for the winners, who received two saves from Alexandra Farmer.
OCC plays host to Cypress Tuesday at 3 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Katie Bergen had 12 kills and 20 digs and Aimee Melone added 14 kills to lead the host Pirates to a 17-25, 25-11, 25-17, 25-23 win in the Orange Empire Conference match Friday.
Kathleen Hopkins had 10 kills for OCC (10-3, 5-2 in conference), which halted a two-match losing streak.
Saddleback fell to 6-9, 2-5.
OCC visits Cypress Wednesday at 7 p.m.

SANTA BARBARA — Larissa Nordyke had 12 kills and Julianne Piggott added 10 for the visiting Anteaters in the Big West Conference match Friday.
UCSB, which had a match-high 22 digs from Newport Harbor High product Kelly Heenan, won, 25-20, 25-13, 23-25, 25-20 and is now 12-9, 6-2 in conference.
UCI, which has lost 11 of its last 12 matches, fell to 5-16, 1-7.

COSTA MESA — The host Lions rallied from a 1-0 deficit in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Friday.
Adam Holstein scored on an assist from Zack Plummer in the 78th minute and Plummer assisted on a goal by Mario Merdzic in the 79th minute to pull out the win.
Vanguard, ranked No. 17 in the NAIA, is 8-7, 7-1 in conference. The Lions move into a first-place tie with Cal Baptist.
Senior Trevor Herrera had four saves for VU.
FPU is 8-7, 5-3.

COSTA MESA — The Pirates failed on a penalty kick and had another shot carom off the crossbar in the Orange Empire Conference clash Friday at home.
OCC freshman David Torres converted an assist by Mario Hernandez to open the scoring in the 31st minute.
Riverside answered in the 54th minute
Nick Saire had 11 saves for OCC (2-8-5, 0-4-4 in conference).
Riverside is 5-4-4, 3-1-3.
CROSS COUNTRY
Cal State Fullerton Invitational
FULLERTON — The UC Irvine women finished eighth as a team, led by Shelley Foerster, who placed 42nd Friday.
Foerster finished the 5k course in 19 minutes, 9.8 seconds.
Nick Osborne led the UCI men with a 19th-place finish, completing the 8,000-meter course in 25 minutes, 21.6 seconds. The Anteaters men did not score as a team.
