TULSA, Okla. — UC Irvine junior Chris Kearney has earned a berth in the main singles draw at the D’Novo/ITA All-American Tennis Championships.

Kearney, a transfer from North Carolina, defeated Ohio State’s Matt Allare, 6-4, 6-1, in the final round of qualifying on Wednesday.

IRVINE — Junior All-American Jordan DuFault had 15 kills in the Anteaters’ 22-25, 24-26, 25-17, 26-24, 15-12 exibition loss to UPCN from Argentina in the opening match of the UC Irvine International Tournament Tuesday at Crawford Court.

Kevin Carroll had 12 kills and Cory Yoder added 10 for the Anteaters, who blasted 21 aces.
