IRVINE — Freshman Cameron Iwasa scored his first collegiate goal to pace the host Anteaters to the overtime Big West Conference win Saturday.
Marco Franco and Miguel Ibarra were credited with assists on Iwasa’s score in the 94th minute.
Andrew Fontein had five saves for his sixth shutout of the season, the 26th of his career.
No.7-ranked UCI improves to 13-4, 5-2 in conference and remains tied for first place with UC Davis.

COSTA MESA — Junior forward Kevin Cornwall scored twice to help the host Lions dominate the Golden State Athletic Conference contest Saturday night.
Bryan Ponce added a goal and an assist for No. 22-ranked Vanguard (11-5, 5-2 in conference), and Cody Adams made five saves to preserve the shutout.
Jack Plummer added a goal and assists were chipped in by Bill Pellow, Kyle O’Brien and Nikola Ilich as the Lions posted a 20-12 advantage in shots.
The Lions are tied for third place in the conference, behind No. 3-ranked Concordia and No. 11-ranked Azusa Pacific, respectively.

COSTA MESA — Lindsey Holman-Kelly headed in a free kick taken by Gabriela Valles to give the host Lions a double-overtime win in Golden State Athletic Conference play Saturday.
The golden goal, in the 104th minute, gave unranked Vanguard (11-3-1, 3-3-1 in conference) the upset over the No. 12-ranked Warriors (9-5, 4-3).
Lauren Terry had five saves to preserve the shutout and Vanguard posted a 17-10 advantage in shots.

IRVINE — The visiting Tigers posted a 25-14, 25-18, 25-23 sweep in Big West Conference play Saturday at Crawford Court.
Aly Squires and Shaina Olsen had nine kills apiece and Kristin Winkler had 22 digs to pace the Anteaters (8-12, 3-6 in conference).
UOP improves to 14-8, 5-4.
