Fashion Island has expanded its inventory of luxury denim and high-quality jewelry with the addition of Earnest Sewn and Roberto Coin.

High-end denim retailer Earnest Sewn opened a 2,300-square-foot space in the corridor between Macy’s and Nordstrom on Oct. 1, said center spokeswoman Jane Gillespie.

To commemorate the arrival of its first Orange County location, Earnest Sewn debuted the “Newport†jean at the new store.

The limited-edition $198 denim is the first of the “Golden Ticket†line and features 24-karat gold buttons, rivets and a gold foil screen print.

“I think it’s the perfect jean for the Fashion Island customer and should be a great launch of this new fit,†Earnest Sewn Creative Director Benjamin Talley Smith said in a prepared statement. “I’m excited to bring something new to the market with the added value of the ‘Golden Ticket’ packaging.â€

Italian jewelry designer Roberto Coin opened a 1,100-square-foot space adjacent to Traditional Jewelers in the Newport Beach shopping center’s Pacific Court.

New to Orange County, the store opened Oct. 13 in partnership with Traditional Jewelers.

“Roberto Coin and Traditional Jewelers have enjoyed a successful partnership for almost 20 years,†Erik Halfacre, President of Traditional Jewelers, said in prepared statement. “We feel that the opportunity of the boutique partnership will only further cement this strong and unique partnership. We also look forward to offering the full array of Roberto Coin to our existing and potentially new clients.â€

The boutique is the first to hold the “Roberto Coin Cento Collection†Diamond Corner, which showcases a 100-facet cut diamond. The boutique also features other collections such as Appassionata, Ipanema, Mauresque and CapriPlus.

Also this month, women’s apparel retailer Lola Rouge, which has operated at Fashion Island for more than 10 years, moved from the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale’s Courtyard to a 2,200-square-foot location between the Iris Fountain and the Pacific Court near Macy’s.

Kitson, Rebecca Taylor and Johnny Was will open in the center before the end of the holiday shopping season, Gillespie said.
