Police seek shoe store robbers
COSTA MESA — Police on Monday were looking for three men who robbed a shoe store at gunpoint.
At about 9:15 a.m. Saturday, three men entered Jumping Jack Shoes on 19th Street and tied up one of the employees with duct tape, said Costa Mesa police Sgt. Phil Myers.
A second employee managed to escape to a cash cage within the business, away from the armed robbers.
The men robbed the tied-up employee and emptied the cash drawer, making off with about $400 in cash, Myers said.
One of the men was reportedly carrying a chrome handgun.
