Series teaches about wine regions, styles
Wine lovers can get wise about different countries’ style of fermented grape juice.
Newport Beach’s Rusty Pelican restaurant will host wine enthusiasts Monday evenings for Orange Coast College’s series of one-night sessions on wine appreciation.
The two-hour sessions will teach participants about a different wine region or style. The class is taught by wine connoisseur and OCC Visual and Performing Arts Dean Joe Poshek.
The series will start with Demystifying French Wine on Monday, Wines of Italy and Spain on July 18, The Wines of Summer on July 25, and Wines of Australia and New Zealand on Aug. 1.
All classes are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and are $55 each.
