What do you think are the biggest issues facing the district right now?

The state continues to take city funds and drive businesses from our state.

What do you think are the biggest issues facing California right now?

We need to return to limited government with greater accountability and immediately stop spending more than we take in. We need to reduce and put a time limit on welfare benefits like other states and immediately stop all benefits to those who come here illegally. This means cuts. We need to stop driving businesses from our state with over regulation and taxation. We cannot continue to pay more than is sustainable in retirement benefits.

What would you do to solve the state’s budget deficit?

High taxes, uncontrolled spending and unfair regulations are forcing California companies to leave to remain competitive. Our taxes are the highest in the nation and destroying jobs. We must lower taxes and reform regulations if we hope to grow the economy, protect existing jobs and create new ones.
