A 19-year-old fugitive wanted in connection with a September robbery was arrested Friday night at Fashion Island, police said.

Costa Mesa police arrested Mohammed Hammoodi at the Macy’s department store, where he worked on the loading dock, police officials said Saturday.

Hammoodi is among 10 suspected gang members accused of beating a pedestrian in a Westside neighborhood Sept. 4 and stealing his wallet. The victim suffered cuts and fractures to his face.

Three suspects were arrested the day of the robbery. Gang detectives on Wednesday arrested six more in a citywide sweep, but Hammoodi was not found.

The group faces charges including robbery and assault with a deadly weapon; all charges carry gang enhancements.

Hammoodi posted bail and was released from Orange County Jail on Saturday afternoon. No court date has been set.
