Robbers storm home, steal $50K in pot
Seconds after a customer left a Costa Mesa home Thursday night, robbers forced their way in, pistol-whipped the homeowner and stole 9 pounds of his marijuana, police said.
Three men wearing bandannas over their faces entered the victim’s home in the 2600 block of Elden Avenue and stole $50,000 worth of cannabis, according to police.
One man was described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes with a blue sweatshirt and a blue bandana over his face; the second man, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds with a red sweatshirt and red bandana; and the third man, 6 feet tall, 150 pounds with brown eyes, a white T-shirt and possibly a white bandana over his face. All were described as Latino.
Police are also investigating the homeowner, who claims that he is part of a marijuana collective, Lt. Mark Manley said.
