Man pleads not guilty in DUI

A Huntington Beach man pleaded not guilty to felony DUI charges Tuesday after police said he hit a woman crossing the street in Irvine.

Collin Weiner, 25, was arrested after Irvine police said he hit a woman crossing Barranca Parkway at Creek Road just before 7 p.m. Saturday. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officers said Weiner appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and after investigating, arrested him.

Weiner was charged with a felony DUI while causing an injury and driving with a blood alcohol content above .08 and causing an injury. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail and is scheduled to be back in court for a pre-trial hearing Aug. 16.
