A second bank has been robbed in Newport Beach in the last four days, police said.

At about 9:56 a.m. Friday, a man walked into the Citibank, 3021 E. Coast Highway in Corona del Mar, and handed one of the bank tellers a note demanding cash and saying he had a gun, said Newport Beach Sgt. Steve Burdette.

The teller handed the robber an undisclosed amount of cash and he left the bank.

The robber was last seen on foot walking toward Coast Highway, Burdette said.

A detailed description of the suspect was not available.

On Tuesday morning, two armed gunmen took over a bank just down the street from Friday’s incident.

A witness tracked the vehicle the Bank of America and notified police, who eventually arrested three suspects in Long Beach following a high-speed chase.
