SAN LUIS OBISPO — Seniors Francis Larson and Jeff Cusick each went four for six with seven runs batted in to pace the visiting Anteaters in the finale of the Big West Conference series Sunday.

Larson homered twice and with 22 career dingers now ranks No. 1 in school annals.

UCI improved to 29-16, 10-5 in conference.

RIVERSIDE — The Lions blew a 7-1 lead in the opener of the Golden State Athletic Conference Tournament Monday at Cal Baptist.

Zach Leighton and Eric Krzysiak both had two hits and two runs batted in for the Lions (32-17), for whom Kip Masuda had three hits.

Vanguard meets Cal Baptist today at noon.

SoCal Regional

MURRIETA — Ryan Knapp finished sixth to help Orange Coast College finish second Monday at the SCGA Members’ Club and advance to the state championships.

It’s OCC’s first trip to the state tournament since 1991.

Knapp shot even-par 144 over 36 holes.

Kord Tagley (150), Benny Santa Maria (152), Joe Doody (153), Tyler Paul (154) and Josh Hurst (155) also contributed for OCC.

WOMEN’S GOLF

STANFORD — UC Irvine finished 17th in the event completed Sunday at the Stanford University Golf Course.

Senior Henna Cho led the Anteaters, shooting 227 over 54 holes to place 38th.
