SAN CLEMENTE — Mike Moorhead was the top overall finisher at four-under-par 68 to help Corona del Mar High finish second Monday at Talega Golf Club.

CdM (371) will advance to Thursday’s CIF Southern Section Team Finals in Temecula.

Moorhead, using a new putter, had nine birdies and 25 putts.

Brian Mull (73), Josh Starns (74), John Davenport (77) and Steve Bruno (79) also scored for CdM.

LAKEWOOD — Newport Harbor High finished fourth and missed advancing by one stroke Monday at Lakewood Golf Course.

Travis Russell and Mychael Clark shot three-over-par 75 to pace the Tars.
