Letters to Mom

Kimberly,

Sometimes we take our families for granted, assuming they will always be there no matter what happens. There is absolutely no replacement for our family. All the friends and money in the world cannot separate people joined by love. So today I stop and say thanks for everything you do for our family. I am very lucky to have not only the greatest wife, but also the best Mother on the planet for our boys.

With Love, Bob.

Mom,

Thanks for being the greatest! We are very lucky to have someone like you to cuddle with, beat in Aggravation and joke around with. Thanks for helping with our projects, making our scrapes better and laughing at Dad’s jokes. Happy Mother’s Day.

Love, Grayson and Paxton

Dear Mommy Krystine,

I am soooo lucky that you are my mommy. You take such good care of me. I like all that you do for me, whether it’s playing with me or teaching me something new. Thank you for all of your hugs and kisses. You are the best mommy and I love you very much!!!

My mom is the best mom anyone could ask for! She is my role model and is exactly who I want to be when I grow up. I am almost a teenager and I always have a sassy attitude and my mom tells me that she loves me and that I shouldn’t have this behavior. I just got moved up to advanced on my dance team and my mom screamed with joy and jumped up and down because she was so happy and excited for me! My mom is truly my support system. I love her with all my heart!

Dear Mom/Grammy: Hot chocolate with marshmallows on a rainy day, a hug after a bad day at school, a baking lesson, your favorite book read a 100 times, a kiss and a tuck-in at night. Doesn’t matter if you’re 5 or 50, if you’ve got a mom who makes you feel special and loved, you’re a lucky kid.

And we’re such lucky kids to have you as our mom, mom-in-law, and grammy

Love always, Fran, Billy and Karly

Mom,

You have watched us grow and play through our childhood, struggle and succeed in our teenage years, and ease into our 20s. During our long talks, we’ve realized that you have never taken this job of motherhood lightly. Through your fight to live for us, you have taught us that the power of love and faith in God can prevail through all of life’s trials. With passion and resilience you face life with a spirit that inspires us to see each day as a miracle, every moment as a blessing, and our bond as unbreakable.

Love,

Emily and Ally

Dear Mom, You are the greatest mom because you love having tickle fights with us. You always encourage us and support us at our sporting events. Thanks for throwing and kicking the ball with us all these years. We love your peanut butter and honey sandwiches and going to church with you. Thank you so much for loving us and for being a kind and caring Mom. Go, Vikings!

We love you!

Joshua and Jessica Means

Happy Mother’s Day to the very best mom there could ever be!

We love you so much and appreciate everything you do for us!

You fill our hearts with so much happiness and joy and are always there to support us in everything we do.

All our love forever!

Mommy:

Last year I wrote this from my orphanage in Xinyang, China. This Mother’s Day I have been home almost a year. Thank you for coming to get me. Thank you for taking care of me every day and making me feel important. And thank you for feeding me all the noodles I can eat!

I love my sisters, Cory and Jamie. I sure am going to miss Cory when she goes to college next year.

Most of all, I love having a family.

My mommy means a lot to me. I think she is the best. She takes me to school every day. I am 6 years old. I love my mommy because she loved me first. My mommy’s name is Holly Flecky, and I am Brandy Flecky.

I will give flowers and go to aloha grill and to the beach on mommy’s day. Mommy helps me at home work and makes cookies and sandwiches. I love my mommy a super lot.

My mom is the best is the world! She helps my daddy when he isn’t feeling good and works two jobs. She also helps me and my sister whenever we need help with something. But of course she’ll always be there for us no matter what. There is no other mom that could do a better job than my mom, Laurie. No one can top her. I love you, Mommy!

Love, the best daughter in the whole world.

Having surfed, skated, biked, walked, strolled and scampered on virtually every square inch of our beautiful hood here, I always pause as I pass by Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian.

It seems like only yesterday when my mom, Effie, with bravery and persistence gave birth to me that beautiful summer day. Little did she know those many years ago that bringing me into this wondrous world was only the beginning, for all through those many amazing years of mothering, her duties were endless. She became my mentor, my coach, my friend; she became the best mom any kid could ever hope for.

Happy Mother’s Day to the greatest mother a son could ask for!

Mom, you are truly the best and I am so blessed to be your son. You have been there for my highs and my lows and have taught me how to be a man. From my first tee-ball game through high school you never missed a game and was, and always will be, my biggest fan. I’m closer to you now more than ever and I cherish every moment I am with you.

I love you more than you will ever know.

Joe Boragno

Dear Mom,

Each year that passes increases my appreciation for all the love, support and creativity that you have shown me by example over these many years. I am so fortunate to have a mom who not only has so many talents but took the time to share them with me when I was young — baking, sewing, canning, piano playing, gardening — too many to count. Your love of our family and the enduring strength of your more than 52-year marriage to Dad is a testament to the strength of your love for us all. Love, your grateful and appreciative daughter.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!!! You know you have a great mom when your friends start making comments like, “your mom is really cool” or “I wish my mom was more like your mom,” but I already know how privileged I am to have such a great mom even without the affirmation of my friends. Mom, you are the greatest! You have been there for me through every stage of my life and supported every decision I made along the way. I appreciate everything that you have done for me and continue to do for me.

Love you Mom, Caleb

We love our mom so much! She does everything for us. She helps us with our homework, supports us in our sports, drives our carpool and much much more. She is always there for us when we need her, no matter what. Our mom puts her family first and is always looking out for us. She is the greatest mom in the world and we couldn’t ask for anything more. We wouldn’t be able to survive without her loving care, generosity and kind heart. We love you mom! Happy Mother’s Day!

Mom, we know that every year, as we get older, you spend more and more of your time helping us.

Homework, sailing, baseball, school projects, lunches to pack, carpooling and all the rest.

At the end of every long day, we know it can be a lot, and you’re pretty whipped. But we sure want you to know how much we appreciate you, and love you.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.

Mommy –

Happy Mother’s Day on your first as the mother of 2! We love being your “kiddos”!

Love, Blake (5) and Lily (8 months) Tomalas

Whenever people ask my mom how many children she has, they nearly jump five feet when she says, “I have nine children.” The funny part is, nine is only a fraction of the amount of children that my mom has been “Mama Janann” to. In addition to her own nine children, she ran a day care with more than 100 children for nearly 50 years, and was a foster mother for 10 years caring for more than 20 children in Orange County. My mom truly exemplifies what it means to be a mom. I love you, mom!

Our mom rips on her snowboard, but she always lets us win the race down the mountain. She is always there to ride the last chair of the day up the mountain with us, no matter how cold it is.

Never change Mom, you’re the greatest! We love you!

Dear Mom,

Not only do your three kids think you are the greatest mom in the world, many other people do as well. If we had a dollar for each person who said “you are so lucky to have your mom” or “your mom is so cool” we would have been able to put ourselves through college.

We love you with all of our hearts and don’t ever forget that. We are so lucky to have you.

Mom,

Thank you for all you do: driver, cook, cleaner, clothes washer, homework helper, hurt healer, school volunteer, Realtor, referee, community organizer, shopper, cheer leader, supporter, hand-holder and many things more, but most of all for loving us just as we are.

Love,

Nic, Jonny, Richie and Genevieve Rimlinger
