Four new principals named

New principals have been selected for four Newport-Mesa Unified School District schools.

Laura Vlasic, who served as assistant principal at a Capistrano Unified School District elementary school for nine years, will be Andersen Elementary School’s new principal.

Gabriel DelReal, who was selected as principal for Adams Elementary School, is not new to the district. DelReal has taught at Newport-Mesa for 10 years.

Duane Cox, Newport Coast Elementary School’s new principal, has 15 years of experience as an educator, including five as administrator of students programs for the Orange County Department of Education.

Julie Perron is Wilson Elementary School’s new principal. Perron, who has 20 years of experience, was principal at an elementary school in Washington state for nine years.
