Carol Joanne Hultquist Rivett

Died April 14, Newport Beach CA.

Carol Joanne Summers daughter of Ross and Alice

Totten Summers, she was adopted by Peter and Maude

Totten Hultquist of Huntington Park CA in 1936. She

was a graduate of University of Redlands (1952) where

she was a member of Alpha Theta Phi Sorority. She

married Richard Clark Rivett of Huntington Park in

1952. Dick and Carol made their home in Whittier CA,

where they had three children. Carol was a member of

the East Whittier Woman’s Club, Assistance League of

Whittier (past president) and the East Whittier United

Methodist Church. They moved to their house on

Balboa Island where they enjoyed entertaining their

extended family and many friends. Carol loved music,

family, friends, roses, Yosemite, and most of all her

husband, Dick. She was always thoughtful and kind and

will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by

her husband, Richard C. Rivett, Children; Linda Rivett

Lovelace (Paul), Cathleen Rivett Pecchia (Greg) and

Richard C. Rivett Jr. (Susan) Grand Children; Laura,

Carol Lovelace, Jennette Joyce Lovelace, Rochelle

Joanna Lovelace and Jonathan Lake Lovelace. Antonia

Elizabeth Pecchia, Carole Anne Pecchia, Paige Terise

Rivett, Camille Arlene Rivett. Funeral services Friday,
