LAGUNA BEACH — Junior Alex Morton grabbed a season-high 21 rebounds and scored a game-high 17 points for the Sailors in the nonleague game Wednesday.
Sophomore Mandy Legault added eight points, while senior Coleen Mead had seven points to go with three assists and three steals for Newport Harbor (4-2).
Junior Mimi Gibson had six points for the Sailors, who will face Mission Viejo in the Segerstrom tournament Wednesday.

ANAHEIM — Junior Caro Van der Velde scored 14 points for the Sea Kings in the pool-play game of the Fairmont Prep tournament Wednesday.
Junior Saylor Schroff had nine points, while junior Gaby Rapp had eight points and 10 rebounds for CdM (4-1).
The Sea Kings will play against Whitney today at 4:30 p.m.

IRVINE — Senior Frank Shapiro scored 16 points for the Lightning who saw Luis Mercado connect on a 25-foot, buzzer-beating gamewinner in the Gelman Classic at Tarbut V’Torah Wednesday.
Junior Mark Loper had 12 points and junior TJ Danner had 11 rebounds for Sage Hill (2-2), which was protecting a 44-43 lead with three seconds left.

ORANGE — Hannah Speer had two goals and four steals for the Mustangs in the nonleague game Wednesday.
Ashley DeMarzo, Sydeny Rosello, Monica Folkerts, Nicole Tfaye and Taylor Ives scored one goal each, while goalie Daniel Bowen had 10 saves for Costa Mesa, which went two for seven on the power play.

NEWPORT COAST — Maddie Culberson scored for the Lightning in the nonleague game Wednesday.
Culberson scored on a header in the 49th minute, as her sister, Megan Culberson, provided the assist. Goalkeeper Alexa Thomas had five saves for Sage Hill (2-4-1).
