Three men were arrested in an exclusive Newport Beach community Tuesday night minutes after they and two others committed an armed home-invasion robbery there, police said.

Police said that about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, the 9-1-1 calls started coming in from people inside 3 Longboat, a home in the Pelican Ridge gated neighborhood in Newport Coast. The callers told authorities they had just been robbed at gunpoint and that the men were trying to get away.

Police swarmed the area and found Mikael Andre Hastings, 36, of Los Angeles, injured in a nearby yard. Police said he hurt his leg running away from the home.

Officers found Antoine Bashiri Boyd, 31, of Los Angeles, driving away from the area and arrested him.

Peter Joseph Paturzo, 44, of Mission Viejo, was found in the area sitting in a parked car with no lights on. Police said two more armed men may have gotten away.

Lt. Craig Fox said nine people were in the house at the time of the robbery and the suspects attacked three of them. Two people were treated at the home for head injuries, and the third victim was taken the hospital for non-serious head injuries, Fox said.

Newport Beach’s SWAT team scoured the area through the night with help from Irvine, UC Irvine, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach and Santa Ana police.

Hastings and Boyd were booked on suspicion of robbery, and Paturzo was booked on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. All three are being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
