Caller worried about coyote

A caller told police that a coyote was “going after people” and other animals for more than an hour at Central Park at 2:38 p.m. Sunday.

The caller said the coyote, which seemed smaller than usual, may have been looking for food — but that it also tried to approach a 2-year-old. Authorities took the coyote into custody.
