Hollace Barden isn’t necessarily a young swimmer, nevertheless she helped her youth swim team to a victory over Green Valley with a star-studded performance Saturday.

Barden, who will be a sophomore in the fall at Corona del Mar High, swam to first-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle, 50 butterfly and 100 individual medley in the 15-18 girls’ division.

She has had a stellar season so far, and Saturday was some evidence of that. Her contributions have helped the Killer Whales this year.

Barden also set a team record in the 15-18 girls’ division for the 50 free, touching the wall in 26.22 seconds on June 6.
