Open and Affirming anniversary marked

Neighborhood Congregational Church, a United Church of Christ (UCC), will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the UCC’s Open and Affirming movement Sunday with special worship festivities, guest speakers, lunch, and an open forum conversation.

The Open and Affirming Movement is an official church position that openly welcomes and includes persons of all sexual orientations into the full life and ministry of the church.

Children’s choir to perform June 14

The Laguna Presbyterian Church children’s choir will present “Are We There Yet?,†a musical story of Moses and the Exodus, at the 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. services June 14.

Services take place in Fellowship Hall, on Second Street between Forest Avenue and Mermaid Street.

The church has two parking lots with free parking.
