Students step into artwork
A small-scale Pageant of the Masters was performed at St. Catherine of Siena School recently.
For the sixth year, students donned costumes and makeup to become part of some famous works of art.
Claude Monet’s “Le Dejeuner†and Winslow Homer’s “Snap the Whip†were portrayed in tableaux vivant style.
The Pageant ended in the same way as the “real†Pageant of the Masters — which will soon take the stage at the Irvine Bowl — with a rendition of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.â€
Students who took part in “Snap the Whip†were: Sydnie Soucek, Andrew Lam, Emma Parry, Liz Bertola, Chase Kaspers, and Brady Sagert.
“The Last Supper†was portrayed by Emily Loughlin, Cassidy Kelly, Natalie Kaylor, Alexis Del Toro, John Stanton, Tessa deRecat, Kyle Smith, Aishling Cullinan, Rachel McGrath, Lindsay Doyle, Maggie Renner, Kiana Fortier, and Mackenzie Baldridge.
