Wendy Marietta Wardall
WARDALL, WENDY MARIETTA, 22, passed into eternal life on May 12, 2009, with her family at her side after her life-long battle with cystic fibrosis. Wendy passed at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles while waiting for a lung transplant. Beloved daughter of Scott and Robin; sister of Wyatt and Lillian; granddaughter of Marietta Wardall of Denver and Janis Keuffer of New Orleans; niece of Skip (Cheryl) Wardall of Denver, Jon (Deb) Wardall of Idaho, Darla Coker of Minneapolis and Scot Broadus. Wendy is survived by her cat ‘Pinky’ and was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Skip Wardall (Denver) and Glenn Broadus. Wendy will always be remembered for her sweet and caring nature and her unconditional love for her family. She loved all animals, loved to travel and loved the time she spent dancing at Lokelani’s Rhythm of the Islands, a Polynesian dance studio in Huntington Beach. Heartfelt thanks to her colleagues, friends and extended family at Hi-Time Wine Cellars for the years of love and support you gave to Wendy. A Costa Mesa resident since 1999, Wendy was a 2005 graduate of Newport Harbor High School and was attending Orange Coast College. For the past 3 years she attended Rock Harbor Church where she made many friends and matured spiritually. Wendy was known for her generous and loving heart, and enjoyed helping others. We will remember her for her courage and tenacity in life. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. A celebration of life will be held on Sun., June 14, 3:00 P.M. at the Orange County Wine and Food Center, 1570 Scenic Ave., Costa Mesa, CA 92626. Aloha attire for the service.
