Fire damages three detached garages Monday
Firefighters continue to investigate the cause of a blaze that damaged three detached garages on Hamilton Street on Monday morning, officials said.
About 2:18 a.m., firefighters were called to 393 Hamilton St. where flames had already caused significant damage.
Crews responded within five minutes and after creating ventilation points in the roof extinguished the blaze without it spreading to nearby units, said Battalion Chief Bill Kershaw.
Twenty-one firefighters responded to the incident, and no one was injured, officials said. Arson investigators are still searching for the cause to the blaze and could not immediately estimate the property damage.
