PET OF THE WEEK
Willow’s a 1- 1/2 -year-old black-and-white neutered male cat. His owner was hospitalized recently and can no longer take care of him, so he needs a new home.
“The boarding costs are rising and the weeks are going by, and the poor thing needs to get out of a cage,” said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, the founder of Community Animal Network, which is helping to find a new home for Willow.
“Even animal organizations have felt a slow-down in adoptions during these tough economic times, and it makes it difficult for us to help our local animals,” Pfaff-Martin said, adding that Willow is being boarded at All Creatures Care Cottage in Costa Mesa.
If you would like to adopt Willow you can see him from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at All Creatures Care Cottage, 1912 Harbor Blvd., Costa Mesa.
Or you can meet Willow at the Community Animal Network’s weekend Fashion Island pet adoption event noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
