Bookseller participates in drive for children
Barnes and Noble in Costa Mesa will sell books to distribute to children who have been abused or neglected, young parents and juvenile offenders this holiday season.
As part of a nationwide effort by the bookseller to donate 100,000 books, the store at Metro Pointe on South Coast Drive will sell books through Jan. 1. The books donated locally will be given to Crittenton Family Services, a home in Fullerton for children who have been removed from their homes. Kids from the home picked out certain titles that Barnes and Noble is selling near the front cash register. The store is not accepting new or used books from the public.
