IRVINE — Kate Berrini scored a three goals in the final 15:31 to give the Anteaters the win in the UC Irvine Invitational Friday.

Tanya Taylor fed Berrini for her third goal and game-winner in the 88th minute.

The Anteaters will conclude the UC Irvine Invitational Sunday against Saint Mary’s at 2 p.m. at Anteater Stadium.

Santiago Canyon 0

COSTA MESA — The Orange Coast College women’s soccer team overcame a late surge by visiting Santiago Canyon and battled the defending state finalists to a draw Friday in Orange Empire Conference action.

Pirates goalie Caitlin Schott posted five saves for OCC (2-3-3, 0-1-1 in conference).

Golden Dome Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — UC Irvine senior Lauren Kellerman led all players with 16 kills as the Anteaters swept Western Michigan, 25-21, 25-23, 25-19, on Friday.

Kari Pestolesi had 12 kills and a team-high 15 digs, while libero Devon Sutherland added 14 digs. Setter Taryn Robertson dished out 44 assists while Alexandra Hauser added five block assists, one shy of a career high.

The Anteaters will face host Notre Dame today at 4 pm.

Orange Coast 2

COSTA MESA — Pirates freshman Marco Ramirez and sophomore Scotty Locken scored in the game Friday at OCC.

Mt. SAC (6-1-1) held on after taking a 2-0 lead, benefitting from an own-goal by the Pirates.

Orange Coast dropped to 4-3.
