NEWPORT BEACH — Junior Lauren Draganza shot six-over-par 41 to earn medalist honors and help the Sailors earn their fourth straight nine-hole win over their Back Bay rival Thursday at Newport Beach Country Club.
Tiffany Kane (45), Lindsey Hanna (46), Ali Thomas (47) and Morgan Moody (49) also scored for Newport Harbor.
Tess Crane (44), Amanda Johnson (50), Lisa Chan (50), Kelly Moorhead (51), Ashley Varner (51) and Nina Park (59) scored for CdM.

IRVINE — Junior Amy Babbush shot a team-low 13-over-par 49 for the Lightning in their season opener Thursday at Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course.
Freshman Erin Hong (51) and senior Kelsey Venvitozzi (52) also scored for Sage.

IRVINE — Junior Julia Blakeley and freshman Katie Bick both swept in singles to help the Lightning earn their third victory this week over a CIF Southern Section Division I team in a nonleague match Thursday at Woodbridge.
Sage Hill (6-0), which earlier this week defeated Newport Harbor and Los Alamitos, will play at Division I power Mater Dei Monday.

Junior Kendra Fisher also swept, at No. 2 singles, dropping just two games, while senior Jennifer Johnston recorded two wins at No. 3 singles for Estancia (4-1).

WEST HILLS — Senior forward Kylie Sheppard scored a pair of goals and sophomore Sydney King made four saves to lead the Sailors in the nonleague road game Thursday.
Claire Ramser and Ali Gilchrist also scored for the Sailors (1-0-2), who received assists from Claire Layton, Lauren Chandler and Terra Giacomaro.

COSTA MESA — Eagles senior Willy Rodriguez won the boys’ race in 17 minutes, 30 seconds on the three-mile course at Fairview Park during the non-scoring meet Thursday.
Junior Jorge Martin finished second in 17:39 for Estancia, which also had sophomore Tony Jeronimo (third, 17:48), senior Wes Barloon (fourth, 18:00, junior Mike Davila (sixth, 18:43), freshman Vincente Lopez (seventh, 18:43), freshman Dave Cornelius (eighth, 18:47) and senior Damian Leon (10th, 18:56) finish in the top 10.
Freshman Erika Garcia led the Eagles on the girls’ side with a second-place finish in 21:24. Freshman Heather Flores (third, 22:05), senior Sindy Ramirez (fifth, 22:25), senior Jessica Dominguez (sixth, 22:31), junior Alejandra Peralta (seventh, 22:59), freshman Melissa Correa (eighth, 23:00) and freshman Mariah Chapin (ninth, 23:01) also finished in the top 10 for Estancia.

POMONA — Estancia High earned two victories to win its three-team pool Thursday to advance to Gold Division action beginning today at Ganesha High.
Senior Annie Tomasek had 15 kills in a 25-11, 25-16, 25-10 win over Eastside of Lancaster, then pounded 16 in a 25-15, 15-14, 22-25, 25-15 win over Ontario.
Junior Amanda Watson had 22 of her 34 digs for the day against Ontario, while senior setter Shona Lamb had a combined 59 assists and 11 aces for the Eagles (4-0).

ORANGE — Senior Kim Bjelland had six assists, senior Brook Urmson added six digs and sophomore Alex Krohnfeldt chipped in four kills for the Mustangs in a 25-14, 25-11, 25-13 nonleague road loss Thursday.
The Mustangs (2-2) are at home to begin play in the Dave Mohs Tournament, Friday at 3:30 p.m.
