Rev. Wheeler leaves Methodist Church
Rev. Ginny Wheeler preached her last sermon as pastor of Laguna Beach United Methodist Church on June 8.
Wheeler had been with the Laguna Beach church since 1991.
In October 2006, she was honored as a Woman of Achievement by the Laguna Beach branch of the American Assn. of University Women.
Doug and Cindy Williams are the new pastors at the church. Both attended Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. They have been served at several United Methodist Churches in the Los Angeles area, and in 1992 were appointed as co-pastors at University United Methodist Church.
They have two children.

Church invites summer singers
Anyone who likes to sing, whether visiting on vacation or a Laguna Beach resident, is invited to explore an opportunity to sing in Laguna Presbyterian’s choir on a summer Sunday.
All singers are welcome to come one time, or more, to sing in the Summer Choir at Laguna Presbyterian Church. Singers should meet in Fellowship Hall promptly at 8 a.m. for rehearsal, and be prepared to sing for both Worship Services at 8:30 and 10 a.m.
Fellowship Hall is located on Second Street between Forest Avenue and Mermaid Street.
