PET OF THE WEEK
Genie is a calico who was left behind in an apartment complex when the family moved. Friendly neighbors put food out for Genie, but she became pregnant. The Community Animal Network hopes someone can adopt Genie and her kittens at its next pet adoption.
With the abundance of animals in need and the limited amount of caregivers working with the Community Animal Network, the organization is asking for pet owners to remain responsible when caring for their pets. Owners should spay or neuter their pets, and persons who find abandoned pets can receive spay vouchers for Orange County animals if they call the network.
Come see the Community Animal Network’s adoption event from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Fashion Island sponsored by Russo’s Pet Experience.
The Community Animal Network’s kittens are spayed and neutered, tested for leukemia and feline AIDS, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped along with the paid pet registration and have no fleas. Pet adopters receive a 30-day health guarantee, 30-minute pet-parenting and 30-day return policy. Visit the organization’s website at www.animalnetwork.org to see photos of available animals.
If you would like to donate, mail your check to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA, 92658 and memo your check nonprofit tax ID 33-0971560.
