Students to crown Mr. LBHS in ‘mangeant’
Laguna Beach High School will hold a “mangeant,” a male beauty pageant in which they will crown Mr. LBHS, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Dugger Gym.
Tickets are $3 presale and $5 at the door; all proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
A bake sale will be before the pageant and during intermission; gift certificates will be raffled.
The pageant will include talent, swimsuit, formal wear and question sections; contestants will be scored on a one to 10 scale.
A Mr. Congeniality will be selected by the audience.
Ocean summer camps for kids announced
Coach Chad Beeler will hold summer ocean camps for kids ages 5 to 13 through the city Community Services Department.
Little Mermaids and Sea Cubs will introduce kids ages 5 to 7 to the marine environment.
Little Guards, for kids ages 7 to 9, will focus on introductory ocean safety.
Ocean exploration one-week camps for kids ages 7 to 13 are also available.
