Rattlers quiet Storm
A pair of goals by Daniel Burkhardt in the final 3:40 broke a tie and helped send the Rattlers past the Storm, 7-6, in the championship final of the Howe Division postseason tournament.
Burkhardt’s goals came off assists from Tyler Wilford and Kristian Burkhardt in championship weekend play at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Daniel Burkhardt finished with three goals and an assist overall. Christopher Kao scored twice and Wilford and Chris Irwin each scored once.
Jeremy Corwin paced the Storm with three goals. Auston Leming scored twice and had a pair of assists.
Ricky Zatarain finished with 30 saves.

Campbell Division
Mad Dogs 3, Rangers 2
The Mad Dogs overcame a 2-0 deficit early to turn back the Rangers.
Goals by Kevin Hennessy and Andrew DeCarlo gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead at the 2:21 mark of the first period. The Mad Dogs’ Jackson Wozniak scored just before the quarter ended and Hunter Barrett and Matthew Gomez both scored in the second period to put the Mad Dogs into the lead.
DeCarlo and Cole Geller each had an assist.
Jorden Wozniak had an assist and Jake Gealy had 19 saves for the Mad Dogs.
Smythe Division
Swat 7, Beach Boys 2
Swat scored six goals over the final two periods to break open a tight game en route to defeating the Beach Boys.
Joe Gibb and Braeden Stack each scored twice to lead the Swat offense.
Trenton Shehan, Joshua Wagoner and Daniel Patzlaff each scored once. Shehan and Patzlaff each added two assists and Brandon Wagoner had 19 saves.
Wales Division
Mudcats 6, Militia 5
Matthew Bennett delivered the only goal in an overtime shootout to give the Mudcats the division title.
Bennett finished with two goals overall, David Clegg led all scorers with three goals and Travis Hunter scored once.
Anthony Tullio had two assists, Clegg, Drew Sorbom and Matt Schnautz each had an assist and Casidhe Kunichika had 25 saves.
Jake Rennison and Avi Press each scored twice and Aron Wong scored once for the Militia. Wong, Garrett Blackwell and Kobi Pekich each had an assist, and Blake Walker finished with 31 saves.
