South Coast Tournament

CORONA DEL MAR — Corona del Mar High finished 13th in the field of 32 after beating Mission Viejo, 17-13, Saturday at CdM.

The Sea Kings also beat Laguna Beach, 13-8, earlier Saturday.

Max Bergeson scored six goals against Laguna and four against Mission Viejo for CdM (6-2). Brian Schiefer scored five goals against Mission Viejo.

The Sea Kings play host to Edison on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Irvine Tournament

IRVINE — Estancia High fell to Beckman, 11-5, in the seventh-place game of the Irvine Tournament Saturday at Irvine High.

Senior Tyler Wayman had two goals for the Eagles (3-4), who received eight saves from senior goalie Kyle Lux.

Lux made 14 saves and senior Jeff Crosson scored a game-high four goals to help the Eagles defeat the Irvine B team in the seventh-place semifinal earlier Saturday.

Pepperdine Invitational

MALIBU — Led by Tori Sarris, Newport Harbor High finished third in the large schools division Saturday.

Sarris finished 10th in 20 minutes, 14 seconds. Sailors Sophia Ditty (21:06) and Erica Pearson (21:09) followed, coming in 21st and 22nd, respectively. Ava Nelson (21:24) and Kelly DeYoung (21:25) came in 31st and 32nd, respectively, while Desiree Alexander (44th in 21:47) and Patty Moddelmog (45th in 21:48) also competed for Newport Harbor.

The Sailors’ Stephanie Case won the large schools junior varsity race in 21:20.

Righetti Invitational

SANTA MARIA — Alexa Aguilar finished fifth in 21 minutes, 4 seconds to help lead Estancia High to third place at Waller Park Saturday.

Eunice Rodriguez came in 10th for the Eagles in 21:31 and Sindy Ramirez was 13th in 21:36. Alejandra Peralta (20th in 22:12), Jenny Leone (46th in 24:31) and Cathy Fuentes (42nd in 23:50) also contributed for Estancia.
